BLUEFIN REPORT W/PIC

We struck out on Friday with our group of jiggers and poppers from NJ & SC The weather was a little coppy, but we had high expectations. When I pulled her back there were slicks and fish everywhere! Oh Boy! I stopped on a mark and everyone had a bite! Only one hook up. Fought the fish for awhile, hook pulls, bummer! Don't know how many bites during the day on jigs and poppers, many fish swiming down sea. Courtland ended up catching a 62 in fish for a little sushi! Lots of bites and the wind calmed down for the ride home. Have open days this week for jigging or trolling, the big boys are here!

FIRST 2012 GIANT BLUEFIN!

We had our first jig & pop tuna trip for the year yesterday and what a day it was with our A-TEAM from Saltywater Tackle. The weather was, shall we say, a little on the blowish side, but we decided to give it a try and things worked out great for everyone! Our first fish was on in a matter of minutes, hooked on a jig! Nice fish and after a 20 min. fight the hook pulled about 10 feet from the leader. Oh well, lets get another! Didn't take long and we saw them on top and Sami had him on the plug! What a strike! 50 min. later we were measureing the fish at 81 in. Two make a long story short we caught 2 more on the jig and broke one off. Another great day for SALTYWATER TACKLE guys! Going again on Monday, so stay tuned!

FISHING REPORT

Guys, Here it is to the best of my knowledge. We went fishing on Friday, the only boat out and this is a little difficult in that you can't cover alot of ground to find fish, but we found the Blackfin in good numbers, but no yellowfin that day. I don't feel that they liked the fast current and no blended water. The good news is the fat ones are showing up! There have been some caught trolling, but not many marks to stop on to jig or pop. Things are looking good for our up coming Bluefin fishery. We now have hoody sweatshirts 4 sale on the boat along with our tee's.

Jan 1 2012 FISH KILL!

OH what a day we had today on the SEA BREEZE! We started out our day with two nice yellowfin and then some more and then a 34lb Wahoo! It gets better! We hook 3 more tuna and one is being eaten by a nice Mako! Half the tuna was gone and I told George to stick the tuna and he thought I said the shark! Well he free gaffed the shark and he weighed 85lbs, something going on! After this we finished our limit of yellowfin around noon and had a great ride home. Bet your first day of the year wasn't that exciting! Can't wait to get back out!

We all miss our mother and I know that she will be in our thoughts this day, as she loved Christmas so much. Anyway, See if you know who the Santa is in the pic. MY MOTHER

My mother passed today after a long illness. She was the best mother that anyone could ask for and I will miss her everyday of my life. She and my father were a fixture around the docks in the summer and everyone loved her home cooking. Don't let a day go buy without telling them you love them, you never know if it's their last day. Anyway she is with the lord and watching over us. One day I will see her again.
