BIG DOLPHIN
Yesterday I had to go to the doctor and Ronnie filled in for me. George was the mate and they came in with a great catch of Dolphin and one of them weighed in at 42lbs. Now thats a big boy! The trouble is, nobody has sent me a picture of the fish so I can post it. Come on guys give it up, I know that someone is holding a pic
THE DOLPHIN ARE BACK!
The SEA BREEZE left the dock this morning with a makeup party of six guys that wanted to catch some eating fish, so we set out to find some dolphin first thing and we started on a eel grass line on the hot water change. There we captured about 25 or so and decided to go trolling. There were alot of Bonito around, that is a good sign of tuna, but they were not biting. We did catch a nice 45 pounder for some tuna steaks! A boat called us and said that he had found a tree floating and there were hundreds of Dolphin around it. Four boats got their limit off the tree before we steamed to them and we finished our limit and called another boat in. That thing was holding the meat! I have a pic with the SMOKER and I circling it.
MORE SEA BREEZE NEWS
We finally received our Shimano Stella reels from SALTYWATER TACKLE! These are spinning reels that we use to jig & pop Bluefin & and yellowfin tuna. We have video on our website of this great action. Now we will have these rods and reels for our charters that want to try this great fishery. This fishing is large fun for people that want to catch a big fish on light tackle. These reels are designed so you can apply just as much drag as you can on a 80w Last year we caught a 306lb. Bluefun tuna on one of these outfits. Most people like to bring their own spinning tackle, but now you have a chance to use ours to discover if you like this type of fishing.
GREAT TUNA FISHING
We have not been able to post a report for two weeks, so alot has gone on and I will try to bring you up to date. We have not been fishing as much the last week and a half, I feel like a red head step child! Anyhow we have been to the boat yard to get the SEA BREEZE as smooth as silk. This really helps your catching, the billfish will eat the stern out of her hopefully! Speaking of billfish,we just booked the Pirates cove Billfish tournament and George, Ronnie and I are looking forward to putting the flags up the rigger! The tuna fishing has been good and sometimes not so good, but today it was great, with nice size fish in the 50 to 60 pd. range. On thursday we had a great family group with two young ladies that each caught really nice fish! There are more that want a ride home on the ice, so give us a call, we will show you a good time and bring home some tuna or if you want, release a billfish.
