WE GOT BIG TUNA!
They are here, waiting for a ride home on the ice! 50 pounders! Make time for this great fishing!
TUNA TUNA TUNA!
What a day of TUNA fishing aboard the SEA BREEZE! W left the dock a little late so we could see the dredge boat and her anchors. We set out east of the inlet and rode for a while and then we decided to move a little deeper, then the action began! Anice 50 pounder and a smaller tuna. After that we caught 3 more nice fish and trolled another 10 minutes and every pole bent over and we ended up with 5 on the ice! What a big time we were having! Anyhow 14 nice tuna came home with us on the ice! The Tuna ARE here! Come get some meat for the freezer!
FISHING REPORT
The SEABREEZE left the dock around 5am Wed. morning and after clearing the dredge boat in the inlet we set sail at 27kts. The seas were calm and the wind was also. We set out to find a marlin for our group and finally set out after a 50 mile jog. We fished for awhile and decided that we would make a move to the east and find better water. We steamed about 4 miles and found a really nice grass line and the dolphin were just needing a ride to OIFC,so we helped a limit of them get there on the ICE! Afterwards we trolled and found the hot purple gulfstream water and soon after our White Marlin,we captured him and released him and that was our day. I will post a report tomorrow, I feel like we will be Tuna fishing and hope to have pic's. Hope you enjoy our new video and there is more to come!
THE WIND IT DOES BLOW!
We are hoping to get out Sat. The weather has been pretty bad the last couple weeks. I can't remember this much north east wind so many days in a row! Oh well, Maybe the Tuna will be chewin when we get back out! The down time has given us a chance to fine tune tackle, install our new TV and sound system. My neice sent pic's of their son Daniel with Penny and I. Don't know if he will be a fisherman or a farmer!
SUNDAY REPORT
Sunday morning we set sail from the fishing center with our group of four gentlemen for a day of fishing. We ran through alot of bait and birds way inshore of where we usually fish, but we didn't stop and preceded on to deeper water. The water color was not as good as we would like, but there were fish in it! We caught dolphin and a couple nice class tuna for our group and the blackfin bite was good for boats down south of us. Remember the bait and birds? Well, they were holding a really good sail bite for the guys that trolled back up inside. It was nice to see the larger yellowfin, the fishing will get better and better for them this month, so give us a call or e-mail and set up a day of fishing aboard the SEABREEZE!
FISHING REPORT
We did not have a charter today, but a handful of boats made there way to the gulfstream, for another great day of fishing! Everyone went marlin fishing today, but there will be boats fishing for Tuna and Dolphin tomorrow. After our week long north wind, we will have the tuna showing up in numbers! Iam ready to bend the pole on some good tuna fishing! We have days open for whatever your pleasure is! Billfish or meat fish, we can put the meat in the box or flags up the rigger!
GREAT PIC!
George Sawyer sent this picture of his son Ronnie, with a really nice Blue Marlin on the wire!
HANG IN THERE!
We are learning our fishing report page, it is all togeather different from my old site. Believe it or not you can teach an old dog new tricks! The fishing yesterday was good on the billfsh, with some white marlin bites to go with the Sailfish. Also there were some yellowfin tuna caught by the boats that targeted the meat fish. Something for everyone!
