WORLD CLASS FISHING!

This past week has been the best fishing all summer on the billfish and really nice yellowfin and blackfin tuna. We had fished a tournament from Thursday thru Saturday and the marlin fishing could not have been better for our Ocean City Light Tackle Club guys and girls! I lost count on how many fish we saw the 3 days we fished. At the same time the guys tuna fishing were enjoying great blackfin and yellowfin action! On Sunday My Owner George had the boat and George Cecil, Ronnie and some friends went fun fishing and came up with a GRAND SLAM! They also had a few extra white marlin to add to the count. Like I said, the fishing is world class for whatever you like, give us a call for some of the action!

WOW!

I don't know how the marlin fishing could get much better! We have the Ocean City Light tackle club fishing this week and they picked a good week for their tournament. They hook their own fish and they do a good job with some coaching from George. We saw atleast 25 fish to the baits today, most to teasers! Great fun! I feel like it will continue for awhile. The guys that went tuna fishing had a great day on the blackfin. We did catch two 60lb yellowfin yesterday while fishing the tournament. Post again Sat. time for sleep!

DID YOU THINK WE QUIT FISHING?

Well, we have had alot of swell from Leslie, this made the inlet messy and we canceled some trips and mved some, hoping for a nicer day. The marlin fishing has been great, with some boats catching double figures and the meat fishing today yielded blackfin, vellowfin and some nice wahoo. We went marlin fishing today and they had the upper hand. We set out and here comes atleast two whites and they had their way with us! BUMMER! Then we jumped off a sail, caught a sail and the rode for awhile until we lost a blue marlin and then caught a sail. After that George hooked another blue marlin off the teaser and he pulled the hook also! I did say a bad word after that! We had lost two gran slams in one day! That really, well you know. Thursday we start a tournament for four days and will give you a report. I know you don't want to see marlin pic's so how about my buddy!

SATURDAY TUNA/DOLPHIN CATCH

We fished on Friday with a makeup party and when we set out to fish the current was ripping to the east. This doesn't make for very good fishing, but we managed a few tuna and dolphin and a nice wahoo. Today we set out in the same place, but the current was not as bad where we were fishing, hence, a nice catch of tuna and we were put on some dolphin later in the day and caught a handful for our Belhaven guys. The marlin fishing was good also, for the guys doing that. We just got canceled for Tuesday if anyone wants to go for tuna, Dolphin or wants to see the marlin jump!

MEAT ON THE DOCK

We went meat fishing today! Our group of 3 young ladies and 3 men requested meat for the freezer, so we struck out for the point in search of some tuna. The baits went over and the poles started bending! Tuna for the grill! In the morning the weather was great, but as the day went on the squalls brought wind, rain and a big sea. Anyhow the meat was in the box on ice and we steamed home happy people!

TUES. WED. REPORT

We had a family group from Texas on Wed. and they wanted to catch a marlin. Well we did  that for them four times and had a few other chances. A great day to be in the ocean! As we let the last White Marlin go, I slipped down from the bridge and spread my friend mikes ashes into the ocean. This is what he wanted and it could not have been a better time to be mixed in with all these marlin, I know he is happy. Today we took a young lady and her son fishing and as soon as we set out the marlin were there! The young man caught the first one and did a great job! Now it was his mother's turn and she also did great. We saw two or three more and didn't fair too well, but that's marlin fishing. The ocean was pretty bad from rain squalls and a big sea was building, so I was trying to keep the best angle for comfort, when all of a sudden my bridge pole goes off really peeling the line! George got everything in and I backed hard on the fish! As we got close we saw it was a Blue Marlin! I backed up and George got the leader and about that time the 400+ pd. fish leaped out of the water and gained his freedom! WHAT A SHOW!

WHITES AND SAILS

Today our group wanted to try for a marlin, so we struck out to where George(owner) and Ronnie caught a blue marlin and a sailfish on Sunday. Just after we set out we had 2 white marlin on out of 3 hookups. We caught 2 and set out to catch more! Long story short we caught 2 more whites and a sailfish during the day and jumped 4 more off, a great day on the SEA BREEZE!

WHAT A WEEK!

It's a long story, but here we go! The Pirates Cove Billfish Tournament was this week and we had a group of guys fishing with us that had won it before, so I was pretty excited about our chances. George and Ronnie were running the cockpit and all I had to do was find some marlin. We had a practice day on Monday and all went well, we released six sailfish and came home feeling pretty good. On Tuesday, the first day we went back to the same place and caught 3 out of 9 bites, not to good on that, but we were just 2 fish behind. The next day we took our lay day because of weather and the BI-OP-SEA caught 9 fish! Wow! We had our work cut out for us! Thursday came around and we fished around the leader all day and watched him catch 3 before we had a bite! I was bumin! Well things came in for us and we caught a double and then 4 in five minutes! Then 3 more by lines out. That gave us 9 for the day! OH BOY! We were in the hunt! This put us in third going into the last day, the pressure is on! Anyhow the last day we caught a double right out the gate and this moved us to 2nd. To shorten this story, we hung on to finish 2nd! I can't thank George and Ronnie enough for their hard work, They are the reason we got to where we were! I also would like to thank Mark, our main man for his great contribution in hooking fish and having faith in us. The whole crew worked hard and it showed in the end.

WARMUP DAY

Today we had a practice day for the Pirates Cove Billfish Tournament. There have been alot of Sailfish around, so we opted to try for them. We set out and pretty quick we caught a double and then we rode for awhile and I saw a free jumper, I rode over to where I saw the fish and two more came to the baits and then we had four for the count. As soon as we got going, another fish came up and now there was five. A couple minutes later, another, giving us six sail releases! We saw a few more and misses a couple and ended our day. Wish us luck in the tournament this week, we will be fishing thru Friday. George and Ronnie are running the cockpit just right and their hard work will be rewarded if I can put them in the meat!
